Well, school has begun! My little Jacob is starting the 4th grade! I can't even talk about it... :)
Well, okay, I'll talk about it a little. I just can't stand it that my kids are growing up so fast. Jacob has not enjoyed reading up to this point in grade school, but I'm hoping for a "turn around" this year. Already he has decided that reading isn't all that bad. Hopefully that will continue. Jacob is also starting Fall soccer in a week. Awesomeness!
Kyle is starting 6th grade! He is excited to be the oldest group in the school. He wishes he was taller, though. I just keep telling him to tell everyone, "even though I'm small, I'm packed with power." He grins a little when I tell him that, but I know deep down, he just wants to grow! His time will come...(it will, won't it?) Kyle is starting Fall soccer in a week also. It's going to be exciting!
And yes, Jacob and Kyle have the same shoes. I took them separately to buy shoes and I didn't realize they both picked out the same until the first day of school. Jacob says to Kyle, "Hey, we have the same shoes!" And Kyle's response? "No, we don't!" Funny!
Brandon is beginning his junior year at Cottonwood High. He is going to have a busy year. He made the music committee last year (for this year), he's in the jazz band, which practices before school at 6:15 am, and he has several AP classes. He also just recently got a job at Riverton Music (his dream job!) It's only temporary, but that's ok with me, because his schedule is kind-of insane...
Oh, and he got his braces off....finally!
And here's Dallin, who is starting the 8th grade! Do you remember the 8th grade? UGH! I do! It wasn't my favorite, but I think Dallin is going to rock it! He is in Concert Band this year playing the clarinet, and he's also in the Jazz Band, which takes place after school, and he gets to be one of the piano players (there is one other girl). I am so excited for him. He loves the piano, and has recently been learning how to play the organ as well. He also has a full schedule of honors classes. It's going to be a wonderful year!
Keep your arms and hands in the ride at all times...and hang on because here we go! Let's just enjoy the ride! :)

My little Jake needs to stop growing up. The boys are so handsome and smart, just like the parents. So fun to see their pictures.
