Friends Forever!

Well, the Bigelows are back (from their mission!)  It has been three years and Kyle is so happy to have his best friend home!  (We're all glad to have them back!)

There's nothing better than shooting BB guns with your best friend!   It's so awesome to see them together again after all this time.

Friends are forever! :)
Welcome home Bigelows!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!

We were kind-of stressed/excited/overwhelmed this year on the 4th because Brandon was coming home the next day!  We didn't really plan anything spectacular, but when the sun went down, we decided to drive to the East side and see if we could see any fireworks from around the valley.  And guess what?  We did!  (These pictures are terrible, by the way, but the fireworks were awesome...just so you know!)

We couldn't believe how busy it was on the East side.  Apparently everyone else had the same idea as we did.  Cars were parked on the main streets (both sides) and people were walking to nearby parks and church parking lots, so they could hopefully escape before the rest of the millions of people after the fireworks ended.  Guess where we ended up?

We turned off the main road and parked in a nearby cemetery!  I was a little freaked out at first.  It was dark and quiet (and empty!) except for all the tombstones surrounding us!  It turned out to be a good place though because the fireworks were awesome and we could see them quite well!

So, yeah, the pictures didn't do justice, but it was fun anyway!
Happy Independence Day!

The Lion King Jr

Eric was in the play, The Lion King Jr back at the end of June/beginning of July.  It was put on by a bunch of students from LDS Business College.  Originally it was going to be performed on the college campus, but then the funding kind-of fell through.  So the students decided to do it on their own.  They practiced very hard and did all the scenery themselves.  In the end, the play was put on in an LDS church downtown and people donated for tickets to the play.  The play was awesome!  Eric's main part was Timone, but he played a few other parts as well.

Here are a bunch of pictures of different scenes (sorry they're so blurry)...
And I'm not sure if every one of them is in order of the play, but I think most of them are...

Here he is playing a hyena.

Eric's in the middle

I think he's holding one of these buffalo faces too.

At the end of the first act was when Eric came out as Timone.  He was absolutely amazing!  Most of these pictures are of him and Pumba!  They both did an excellent job!

And here they are again...

Timone and Pumba are on the stairs in this picture

They really were so funny together and played great as a team!

And then it was over!  They performed it 4 times, and we went twice.  It was awesome both times we went!  And I heard the other performances were just as amazing!

Pumba and Timone and me! :)

Way to go Eric!  You rocked it!

Eureka Hot Shot

When Todd and I got married (26 years ago), we got some gift certificates to JCPenny's.  Since we didn't get a vacuum as one of our gifts, we decided to use our gift cards to purchase our very first vacuum.  We bought a Eureka Hot Shot!  At the time, I think it was a pretty competitive vacuum.  Not the most expensive, but not the cheapest either.  I just have to say that this has been the best vacuum we've ever owned!

Don't you love the green duct tape?  (I've heard you can fix anything with duct tape!  I think it's true!)

Do you see how the bottom of the bag is pretty much ripped and bulging? HA!  This thing has been through a lot!

It's been a trooper and has definitely done it's job through the years!  But we finally had to say goodbye to our old friend.  Sad, huh?  Farewell Eureka Hot Shot!  You served us well!

And this is a picture of Todd and the boys the morning of the Pioneer Trek!  I love these cute little pioneers! :)

Eric turns 23! Holy Cow!

Can you believe I have a 23 year old son?  I can't!
(All of these pictures are pretty blurry, but they're all I have...so I'm just going with it!)

Eric and Andraea

And guess who got his braces off?  Yep, Kyle!

Dang!  I'd better put a paper bag over his head, so the girls can't see him! HA! (Well, that's what Grandma keeps telling me!)

Oh, and here's Ziggy too!  (His birthday is the same as Eric's.  I should have gotten a picture of them together!  Oh well...)

Happy Birthday Eric and Ziggy!  And congrats Kyle!
