My Mom gave me this tag to hang from the rear-view mirror of my car and I proudly displayed it right away. "LOOK WHO'S 40" I won't comment on the "black" color....isn't it great? (Thanks Mom)

Want to see my present? I know you do! It's something I have wanted for a long time. And I've waited patiently for the precise moment it went on sale for a HUGE discount. The proper title of this gift is called, "Reversible Omega." It's a necklace....It has gold on one side and silver on the other. It is beautiful and I feel like a real queen when I wear it. (A little out of my league, really....but I'm getting used to it). Here is a picture, which by the way, doesn't do justice for its beauty! (I already had the "slide"---that's just attached because I wore it on Sunday).
And here is what I woke up to in the morning! The biggest smiley faced balloon I've ever seen. It made my day! Thanks honey! When the kids got home from school, we all went bowling. I did HORRIBLE! (nothing unusual). And Todd was happy because he got the high score.....but really wasn't anything to shout about in the end (sorry Todd). But we had a good time.
It was a great day, filled with many phone calls, emails, and comments on FB....thanks everyone for making it such a special day for me.
What happens now that I'm beginning my 40's? YIKES!

Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a great day! I love that you are so positive about everything. The age thing doesn't bother me either, cuz I think life just keeps getting better and better - I wouldn't go back. Here's to at least 40 more! :)
Happy Birthday! I love your attitude! I'll try to follow your example of embracing #40.
Oh my word! I'm sorry I missed calling you. I swear, I'm the most scatter-brained person these days. Happy Belated Birthday! Glad to hear your day was good.
What? Where is the picture of the cookies! I'm sure they were the next favorite thing after the necklace and the balloon.
