Thanksgiving Weekend 2018

I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of Thanksgiving day with the Jones Family.  Lame! It was really fun though.  We all got together at Ryan and Malissa's, and it was great seeing everyone. (You'll just have to take my word for it!) :)

Eric and Andraea came for the weekend and it was fun to have them. Here is a picture of them pretending to be really full after Thanksgiving dinner!  HA!

Kalli came too!
(Did I mention that Brandon is pretty serious with this girl?) Yes, yes I did. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!  Let the holidays begin!

Happy Birthday Kyle! 17!

Can you believe Kyle is 17 years old?  (What is happening???)

His main present was a new phone.  He really wanted an iphone, so we found an older, used one online, and split the cost with him (it was still around $300). They are ridiculously expensive!

But he also got a few surprises...

A new Zelda 3DS game

A Zelda shirt...

And a Zelda hat!  Did I mention that Kyle likes Zelda? :)

It was a pretty low key birthday for him, but that's how he likes them.  Happy Birthday Kyle!
We love you so much and are so proud of the young man you are becoming!

Brandon's flute concert at Snow College

Brandon has been attending Snow College for almost 2 years, and he has been in a flute choir for a year and a half.  Sadly, Todd and I have never driven down to see one of his concerts. They have always been during the week on a Tuesday, and so it's been hard to attend.  So, we decided we'd better at least see one of them before he graduates! HA! (It's about time, right? I know, we're lame!)

So, (luckily) on a clear day in November, we drove down to Snow to see Brandon play in his final performance with the flute choir.  It was actually really fun! (Even though I don't like driving at all!)

Here's a picture of the flute choir.

Mom, Brandon, and Dad

Also, did I tell you that Brandon is dating a girl?  (Pretty seriously, too!)  And she's really cute!

Kalli and Brandon

I hate to admit it, but we skipped out after Brandon played (he was in the beginning) and we all went out to ice cream at the malt shop in Ephraim (where Brandon used to work.)  It was really fun.  I wish I had gotten a picture of us.  Then Todd and I drove back home.  It was a long evening of driving, but it was definitely worth the trip.  Way to go Brandon!  You did an awesome job!

Curtains! Cottonwood High Musical 2018

Jacob was in Cottonwood's musical, Curtains, this year.  I had never heard of this play before.  But after seeing it, it was one of my favorites.  I loved the music!  Such fun songs!  And everyone did a wonderful job!

Here are a few pictures...
(which are really blurry and not that great, and I also don't know who most of the people are either) :(

It was a really fun play, and Jacob worked really hard!  Way to go son!! :)

A visit to Logan

Our family has never been up to see Eric and Andraea's apartment in Logan, so one Saturday in November, we decided to drive up and visit them.  Andraea had to work that day, but since it was such nice weather, we decided we'd better still go, or we may never get there.  It was a fun day.

We went and got Andraea some lunch and then brought it to her at work.  Such a fun picture! :)

Kyle, Todd, Melissa, Jacob, Andraea, and Eric

After we all got lunch together, we went back to Eric's apartment and hung out for a bit.  Here are some pictures of their place...(this is an apartment complex, even though it looks like a house)

When you walk in, you have to go up a lot of stairs...with green carpet. HA!

A close up of the carpet...awesome, right? :)

The front door opens to the kitchen.  It's so cute and reminds me a lot of mine and Todd's first apartment.  Small, but nice.

To the right of the kitchen is the bathroom.  Look at the old-fashioned sink!

Also in the bathroom is a space for their clothes, like a closet.

To the right of the bathroom is their bedroom.  It cracks me up that they have to go through the bathroom to get to their bedroom.
I think that was a pretty common building structure in the olden days.

And here's the rest of the bathroom...

To the left of the kitchen is a little living room.  It's pretty tiny and only fits a love seat on one wall.  (That's exactly how ours was...just big enough to put a love seat. Oh, the memories!) :)

Kyle, Eric, and Jacob

Todd and Melissa

After we hung out at Eric's for a bit, we decided to go and get some Aggie ice cream before we headed home.  It was pretty delicious, I must say.

And one last picture of the apartment (house) before we drove away...

It was a fun day and the visit was definitely overdue!  Eric and Andraea have been there for over a year, and this was our first time seeing their place.  I know, we're lame!
(Better late than never though, right?)  :)
